The Sims 4 is a force to be reckoned with.
With ten major expansion packs and countless other game packs and stuff packs, it’s a huge game. But which Sims 4 expansion packs are the best? Let us help.
The Sims 4 lets you do practically anything. You can have a pet, have a business, settle down to start a family, go to college, build a huge mansion, move to town… You can even join the First Order now if you want .
But owning all the expansion packs is expensive. If you’re on a budget, you’ll want to make sure that the The Sims 4 expansion packs you buy are the best of the best. While each package offers something unique, we’ve found that some are much more fun than others. It largely depends on your preference, but we’ve laid out our favorite Sims 4 expansion packs and game packs below.
Enjoy playing god bye bye.
1. The Sims 4: Dream Home Decorator
Dream Home Decorator is a game pack rather than a full expansion, but in our opinion it is one of the best Sims 4 add-ons currently available. Especially if you’re a fan of messing around in Build mode. You see, Dream Home Decorator adds the career of interior designer to The Sims 4. If your sim decides to go that career route, you can accompany him to work and spend your time redesigning other people’s homes.
You’ll be given a budget and a vague assignment, and once you know what your customers like and don’t like, you can start remodeling part of their home. Playing in build mode as a real part of life in The Sims 4 is a stroke of genius if you ask us, and arguably one of the best additions to the game yet.

2. The Sims 4: Explore the University
This expansion is aimed at your young adult Sims. They no longer have to go directly from school to work: they can now go to university. The Sims 4: Discover University expansion introduces Britechester University where young Sims can live, study and play.
Your Sims leave their childhood home to live in a dorm room. There they make friends with other students, spend time in the common areas, study in the library or attend school events. They can take different classes depending on their interests – and of course they learn new skills, so when they graduate, they also have new job opportunities.
We might love the Discover University expansion for Sims 4 because it allows us to relive our own college days. There’s a lot of fun to be had with the social aspects available in this expansion – and campus life is completely different from your usual Sims 4 homes. It mixes the gameplay and living design in a big way, which is why we love it.

3. The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu
We never imagined that Star Wars and The Sims 4 would cross over in a million years, but they have, and the result is fantastic. Trip to Batuu adds a new vacation spot for your Sims to enjoy: Batuu, a Star Wars-inspired world. It’s based on the real Galaxy’s Edge Disney theme park, but immerses your Sims in the Star Wars universe much more than we humans ever could.
In Batuu, your Sims can decide whether to join the Resistance, the First Order, or help the Villains. You complete missions, infiltrate the opposition’s base and live to the max in the beautiful Cantina. And of course you can participate in lightsaber battles. What else do you want? It’s one of the most unique Sims 4 expansion packs we’ve had yet, as well as one of the best.

4. The Sims 4: Island Life
The Sims 4: Island Living transports your sims to Sulani Island. It’s a tropical paradise where the sun is always shining and your sims are constantly on vacation. What could be better?
Sulani has its own cultures and traditions that your city sims can get involved with. If they want to, that is. If they prefer to chill on the beach and build some sandcastles, that’s fine too. Or maybe they’d rather grab a catamaran and sail out to sea, or go swimming with a dolphin. The Island Living expansion packs offer plenty of options. So however you spend your vacations, you can live vicariously with your sims. Just be careful not to get burned by the sun.

5. The Sims 4: City Living
The Sims 4: City Life expansion shakes up the quintessential Sims gameplay by replacing traditional houses with city apartments. For the first time, living is a social activity. You can seamlessly visit your neighbors or socialize in your building’s social areas. The bustling world of San Myshuno is your sim’s oyster and life has never felt so good.
This Sims 4 expansion may be one of the earliest, but it’s still one of the best. It introduced many new social elements to the game, including hanging out at markets, singing at karaoke bars, or just walking in to see your neighbors. And living in a swanky penthouse in the city feels much more opulent than your suburban home ever did.

6. The Sims 4: Get to work
Your sims have been working for as long as you can remember. But you have never been able to see what they do in their work. Until now, yes. The Sims 4: At Work Expansion allows you to accompany your Sims to work and control the mischief (or management) they engage in while there.
There are also new career paths for your Sims. You can be a doctor, a scientist, a detective; you can even start your own business. If you’ve ever dreamed of being your own boss, this Sims 4 expansion pack will help you do just that. Open your own fashion boutique or bookstore and take care of everything from window design to customer management. Getting started with your sims changes the standard gameplay of The Sims 4 massively, and getting your work done has never been so much fun.

7. The Sims 4: Cats and Dogs
Who needs human sims when you can have cat and dog sims? The Sims 4: Cats and Dogs expansion introduces cute and fluffy pets to your sims’ world. You can create your own pet just like you would a sim so you can choose from different breeds and customize their personalities.
Your sims will bond with their pets just like they would any other human sim. Talk to them and play with them to grow that bond. And those pets have their own needs too, so make sure your Sims take good care of them.
This expansion pack for Sims 4 also introduces the Vet Career Path into the game, allowing your Sims to work in a veterinary clinic. If you’re an animal lover, there’s no doubt that Cats and Dogs is the best Sims 4 expansion out there.
